The mission of the Society for Women in Physics (SWIP) is to provide a social and professional network among the female students in the physics department in order to empower them throughout their career. SWIP also provides opportunities for its members to interact with other physics students, faculty, and the community in social, academic and philanthropic events.
We host meetings with faculty and visiting speakers, attend conferences for women in physics across the Midwest, and participate in local outreach to further promote equality in the physical sciences.
All majors and genders are welcome! This year, due to COVID, we will be meeting completely online!
